The news of Draymond Green declining his 27 million player option with the Golden State Warriors got more interesting after being seen hanging out with the Lakers star LeBron James in France.

This has brought all kinds of expectations and has many in the NBA media and the fans thinking that LeBron is recruiting his friend Green to play for the Purple and Gold next season.

There's no doubt that with all of this, Stephen Curry is shocked, but it may not be that simple after all, as Green will have to make a "sacrifice" in order to play in Los Angeles alongside LeBron James.

Pelinka has said they won't go for big names, including Green, as they can't afford them if they are willing to keep their depth, so Draymond will have to pay cut to play with the Lakers and LeBron James.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst believes Green declining his player option with GSW was expected

ESPN's analyst and NBA insider Brian Windhorst said, "First off, let me just say that Draymond's opting out is 100 percent expected – it is not a surprise. We've known about it for weeks if not months. It is a procedural move that we did not make, was no issue with this happening. Absolutely, from what I am told, there is a dialogue between the Warriors and Draymond with an intention that he would remain there."
