Stephen Curry is without a doubt one of the greatest NBA players still active and probably the second greatest just behind LeBron James. The Warriors star did change the game thanks to his 3-point shooting, making way for the modern era, but Magic Johnson remains the best PG of all time according to many in the NBA including Michael Jordan.
A career comparison has been released that shows how Johnson had a better career, so far, than Curry, The good news for Steph is that he's still active and has time to expand his legacy in the NBA.
Magic Johnson has nine 1st Team All-NBA vs. Curry's four, Also the Lakers showtime era legend has nine top 3 MVP finishes vs. the 3 Steph has. Magic won three MVP awards vs. the two Curry has won so far.
The purple and gold legend also has more final appearances with 9 vs. the six Curry has and Magic has won five NBA championship titles vs. the four that Steph has so far. Johnson also went on to win three Finals MVP while Curry has one at the moment. So far, it seems that Johnson has had a greater career than Curry and also changed the NBA and game forever.
“[Lakers] moved Norm [Nixon], they gave the ball to Magic because it was better played by a guy at that size,” the three-time All-Star said about the coaching decision made in the '80s. He would then insert LeBron and Magic into the conversation, “If you're gonna try to use Magic as the ‘point guard' then you have to throw LeBron as the best PG.” Said Gilbert Arenas on who should be called the best PG of all time.
