The LA Lakers lost Game 5 of the series vs. the Memphis Grizzlies, and this purple and gold legend left out disappointed by the team

The Los Angeles Lakers wasted the opportunity to close out the first-round series against the Grizzlies in Game 5 at Memphis. Instead, the series is 3-2, still led by the purple and gold that will host Game 6 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

But this Lakers legend, known to follow his former team, was left out and disappointed by the team losing on a good night from their star Anthony Davis who scored 31 points and had 19 rebounds.

Magic Johnson was expecting more of coach Darvin Ham and his players, but Magic wrote on his Twitter account after the embarrassing loss.

"Even though Anthony Davis played well, it's still a big disappointment that the Lakers lost." Said Magic. "The Grizzlies backcourt dominated the Lakers led by Bane with 33 points and Ja Morant with 31."

Magic Johnson is a relief to know the Lakers will have a chance to close out the series at home

Johnson also added that he is relieved the next game is in LA "Laker Nation, it's a good thing we have a chance to close out the Grizzlies Friday night at Crypto.com Arena!"
