The NBA season 2023-24 is getting closer and teams are about to start their respective training camps, one of the most intriguing is going to be the Los Angeles Lakers, as GM Rob Pelinka built a deep talented roster.

One of the most interesting battles for a starting role will be between D'Angelo Russell and Gabe Vincent, the two guards have enough credit to start, even when at the moment Russell has the advantage as coach Ham has already worked with him in the last season.

D'Angelo Russell also has been under the wing of NBA legend and recently inducted Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade. Both stars have been seen in China, and D-Lo hasn't stopped balling and putting up the work.

The Lakers PG D-Lo had a great close of the regular season, but his performances during the 2023 playoffs for the team left a lot to be desired, especially in the WCF against the Denver Nuggets that ended with the group being swept.

Gabe Vincent is the new PG for the Lakers but Austin Reaves could also compete for the role

A recent report has coach Darvin Ham waiting for training camp to decide whether he will use Gabe Vincent or D'Angelo Russell as his main PG. But after Austin Reaves' performances with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup as a PG, Darvin is willing to give him the ball more time and the three players could compete for the role.
