The HBO's fictional series about the Los Angeles Lakers of the showtime era retelling has been heavily criticized by many of the people that the series is based on, one of them being the purple and gold governor and owner Jeanie Buss.

Last year, when the "Winning Time," series made its debut, Jeanie said that it was a complete departure of what actually happened and distanced herself from the show. The same happened with Lakers legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Pat Riley, and more who hated the portrayal of them on the series.

But now it seems that Jeanie Buss has come around and has become a fan of the series, even saying that the portrayal of his father the late Dr. Jerry Buss is on point by the great comedic actor John C. Reily.

Buss posted on his Twitter TL: "I'm enjoying this season of Winning Time on @HBO reliving the Lakers Showtime era. Lakers fans tell me what you think of the show so far. There are some discrepancies but John C. Riley has nailed Dr. Buss."

The second season is in the middle of its run

So far, Season 2 is five episodes in and has covered a variety of topics including Magic Johnson’s growing discontent with Paul Westhead and eventually his then-record-setting contract that caused some commotion in the locker room. The new season has been met with acclaim and praise and has done a solid job of portraying the events of the time.
