Fans got emotional with Vanessa Bryant presenting Pau Gasol at the jersey No. 16 retirement

The Los Angeles Lakers franchise homaged one of their most beloved players, who became a team legend Pau Gasol and got his jersey No. 16 retired.

But to make things emotional, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's widow, was the one to present Pau Gasol. Vanessa went to the Lakers' Arena for the first time since Kobe's memorial.

Pau Gasol also gave an emotional speech; of course, he remembered his dear friend Kobe Bryant. Gasol shed a tear as the Lakers retired his jersey, joining Kobe in the rafters.

Gasol No. 16 was placed right to Kobe's 8 and 24. Gasol said in his speech, "What an unbelievable feeling. What an unbelievable honor. Thank you, sister (Vanessa Bryant)."

The current Lakers superstar Anthony Davis spoke to Pau Gasol and told him that one day he hopes to join them by having his jersey number retired with the purple and gold greats.
