One rookie that the Lakers wanted to see on the team is now been sent to the G-League despite his talent

While the Los Angeles Lakers chose in the 2023 NBA Draft the prospect Jalen Hood-Schifino with the No. 17 pick, the fans wanted another player to be signed, one that was projected to go at No. 8 but fell to the 20th pick and was selected by the Houston Rockets.

Cam Whitmore stole the Summer League becoming the MVP of that competition, which made the Lakers fans to be more mad at the fact that the organization went instead for Hood-Schifino who didn't have a good performance in that tournament and was overshadowed by different teammates.

Jalen has been out for the first seven games of the Lakers season, as he got injured and his return isn't that close. Cam Withmore was set to be the best out of the two, but apparently, some health issues with a bad temper are what could've prevented LA from signing him.

Now a new report by Michael Shapiro, the Rockets are sending first-round pick Cam Whitmore to the G-League, after not giving him enough playing time with their team.

The Lakers' injury report updated

For tonight's game vs. the Houston Rockets, Rui Hachimura is listed as probable, Anthony Davis and Jaxson Hayes as questionable while Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Jalen Hood-Schifino remain to be out.
