The Los Angeles Lakers gave an outstanding performance as a team. They defeated the still reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors, at their home in Game One of the conference semifinals series.

One of the critical elements to getting the victory was to stop Stephen Curry as much as they could, and the player who got that massive task was Jarred Vanderbilt, who could stop him for the most part, even when Curry scored 27 points.

Vanderbilt's ferocious defense over Curry gained applause from the Lakers Nation but not from the Fox Sports 'Undisputed' host Shannon Sharpe, who is a massive Lakers and LeBron James fan.

At one moment in the game, Sharpe wasn't happy with what he saw from Vando, so he wrote on Twitter: "Take Vando out. No defense, less offense (angry face emoji)." Fans immediately jumped to Vando's defense over Sharpe, who ended up apologizing after seeing how Jarred was stopping Curry later in the game. Then Shannon wrote the hilarious: "I apologize Vando (crying laughing emoji face)."

Skip Bayless got praise for the Laker's win over the Warriors

Shannon Sharpe's 'Undisputed' co-host Skip Bayless was impressed with the Purple and Gold performance and reacted to the win by writing on Twitter, "My biggest takeaway from Game 1: The Lakers are just a better basketball team than the defending champs. They score so easily on GSt... While the Warriors are long-distance of bust."
