The NBA All-Star weekend is quickly approaching, and the roster for the league's rising stars challenge has been revealed to the surprise of almost every Lakers fan and the NBA insider Shams Charania. There is one massive snub.

For the insider Charania, the sophomore Austin Reaves is one of the biggest snubs. Instead, the Lakers player that got recognition and showed up is Scotty Pippen Jr., who has a two-way contract with the team and the South Bay.

More Lakers news:

Reaves has been having a solid sophomore season for the Lakers, recording 10.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while knocking down 48.8 percent of his shots from the field and 36.0 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.

The 24-year-old has been out of the lineup since early January as he deals with a hamstring injury. He's set to be re-evaluated by the team on Thursday, so perhaps his injury status is why he was left off the roster.

LeBron congratulated Pippen Jr. for being on the list

With the revelation of the NBA Risings stars roster, including Pippen Jr., LeBron took social media and posted a congratulatory story towards the rookie who still has to play significant minutes with the team.
