The Los Angeles Lakers had one of their worst seasons in the 2021-22 campaign, despite the previous hype of signing the PG Russell Westbrook, bringing back Dwight Howard, getting Carmelo Anthony, and more.
LA didn't make it to the playoffs and the first casualty was the head coach Frank Vogel, for the first time since being fired, the two sides are about to see each other again, this time the Lakers have Darvin Ham as their head coach and Vogel is the head of the Phoenix Suns.
Coach Ham has said that being the last preseason game, the Lakers will play it with their starters and will treat the contest as a regular season game for the first three quarters.
Frank Vogel has now revealed his plan for the game: "We're going to play most of our guys. Try to get our main guys some 2nd half minutes. I don't know if we'll finish the game with them. Try to get them up high 20s, and low 30s in terms of minutes. Continue to build their conditioning, get them ready for opening night."
One of the key players from last season and set to be important again for the 2023-24 campaign is Jarred Vanderbilt who only played in the preseason opener and has been out since then. Vando is the only question ahead of the start of the regular season, he will be re-evaluated this Friday.
