It seems that the LA Lakers are about to pay for firing head coach Frank Vogel who was a key piece for the 2020 championship title but did a terrible job with the 2021-22 roster, especially by not knowing how to make Russell Westbrook work.

Vogel got fired, and the Lakers got first-time head coach Darvin Ham who proved to be the right choice as he turned a challenging situation around and, in his first year, made it into the Western Conference Finals.

But now, former Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has been hired by the Phoenix Suns and is 'stealing' a Ham's and Lakers valuable coaching staff member, Jon Pastorek.

With information via ESPN's NBA Insider Dave McMenamin, "Pastorek, who spent the last six seasons with the LA Lakers on the coaching staffs of Luke Walton, Frank Vogel, and Darvin Ham, and elevated to a player development coach and advanced scout for LAL, will be joining Vogel in PHX as an assistant coach, sources tell ESPN." Pastorek will now be betraying LA after six years inside the team. Fans aren't happy about it but they are relieved at least is not Phil Handy.

The Lakers fans are still relieved it wasn't another valuable coaching staff member Phil Handy

Handy was rumored to join Vogel in the Suns; at least for the moment, that hasn't happened, which is a relief for the Lakers Nation, who loved the work Handy brings to the team, developing players and helping coach Ham with his experience.
