Now that the former Lakers head coach is on the other side, has opened up about what he prefers, to coach AD or face him as a rival

When healthy and playing, Anthony Davis is known to be one of the best players in the league, his main problem has been consistency, still, there's not a single team that likes facing him as he is one of the best defenders and also knows how to do damage in the offensive end.

Former Lakers head coach Frank Vogel led the team in 2020 to win the last championship the purple and gold franchise has won, with Anthony Davis and LeBron James as his main stars.

From that roster, only LeBron James and Anthony Davis remain, including Vogel who was fired after the disastrous and now infamous 2021-22 campaign that had Russell Westbrook as the third star of a failed Big 3.

Despite everything that happened, Vogel still misses coaching AD as he prefers to have him as one of his players rather than face him. Following the victory over LA in the preseason contest, Frank said: "It's a lot easier to coach him than coach against him," praising his former player Anthony Davis.

Anthony Davis wants to lead the LA Lakers to another title

After the 2020 NBA championship title, the Lakers haven't been capable of replicating that success outside of the bubble in the Anthony Davis and LeBron James era. AD wants to change that this season, and both players look ready to accomplish it with the organization betting on continuity with them as the lead for the first time.
