The Los Angeles Lakers have been suffering from having many of their players unavailable due to injuries, but the player who has only played six games so far in the season is still going to be away as he just underwent surgery.
With information via NBA insider Jovan Buha: "The Lakers announce Gabe Vincent underwent successful arthroscopic surgery yesterday. He will be re-evaluated in approximately eight weeks."
The good news is that Vincent underwent surgery so once he recovers is expected to be for good, the bad news is that is still a month and a half away and the team will continue to be shorthanded in the guards department.
All of this while reports and rumors for the front office targeting a guard star to arrive before this season's trade deadline is about the time Vincent is supposed to be back on the court. In the six games he has been available for the team, he hasn't shown anything yet to help the team become a contending one.
Even when they have been playing, the Lakers' injury report continues to have four players in it, besides Gabe Vincent who continues to be unavailable. Jarred Vanderbilt is listed as probable for tonight's game vs. Charlotte. Anthony Davis, Cam Reddish, and LeBron James are all listed as questionable.
