In what became the most significant signing of the offseason for the LA Lakers, Gabe Vincent has been able to play less than 6 games in the season, and after returning he will be out for at least 6-8 weeks.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Gabe Vincent will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ailing left knee, a source familiar with Vincent's plans confirmed to ESPN on Monday, with an expected recovery period of six to eight weeks before he can return to game action.

Vincent, 27, signed a three-year, $33 million contract with LA in the offseason, replacing Dennis Schroder in the backcourt after Schroder signed a free-agent contract with the Toronto Raptors.

With information via ESPN: "The procedure on Vincent's knee could occur as soon as Tuesday and is considered a "cleanup," the source familiar with Vincent's plans told ESPN. The Athletic first reported that Vincent would undergo surgery."

LeBron James believes the Lakers' health had played a big role in the team's inconsistency

LeBron James says the Lakers’ lack of health relative to the league’s top teams has been a challenge in developing the consistency needed to compete at their best. “We’re still trying to figure out our situation as far as how we want to continue to attack each game.”
