The Lakers big men AD has expressed his desire to get his jersey number retired with the franchise, but has he earned the honor yet?

The Los Angeles Lakers have one of the best duos in today's NBA, but they have yet to be able to shine after the 2020 championship title due to their respective injury records.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James together won a championship for Los Angeles like before Kobe Bryant & Pau Gasol, Kobe & O'Neal, and Magic & Kareem did in the past.

But both veterans have yet to earn their spot on the legendary status for the franchise, especially Anthony Davis, who has expressed to Pau Gasol, after the No. 16 jersey retirement ceremony, his desire to join him in the rafters.

The Lakers have an illustrious lineage of legendary big men Anthony Davis wants to join, like Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, and Pau. Davis is on the right track, but it is not there yet because there is an important detail that is at the moment restraining him from getting that status.

What is impeding Anthony Davis at the moment to join that 'exclusive' club

Anthony Davis is one of the best NBA players of today's league, but his injury record and his fame of being 'fragile' has impeded him from shining like he was supposed to do with the team. But he can change that this season if he can remain fully healthy and continues giving the monster performances he is having and lead the team to a new NBA final.
