He became a villain for the Lakers, then to Team USA, and now compares himself to Kobe Bryant

The now Houston Rockets star Dillon Brooks, who became a villain for the Lakers in the latest playoffs when he was still part of the Memphis Grizzlies, had the spotlight in the just-ended FIBA World Cup.

Brooks now became a villain to American fans as the Canadian star became the best player of the game for the bronze medal against Team USA and was the best scorer with 39 points.

Canada defeated Team USA over time and sent the Americans back home empty-handed. Over the past couple of seasons, Brooks has become one of, if not the most hated player in the entire NBA. He has become known as ‘The Villain’ and has embraced that persona in his career.

After winning the bronze medal, Brooks admitted that being the villain it's just a persona, a facade, and compared himself to the black mamba persona that the Lakers legend Kobe Bryant created for himself many years ago.
