Nikola Jokic became a nightmare to the LA Lakers in the last Western Conference Finals and the team suffered because of that and ended up eliminated by the Denver Nuggets.

In the 2020 WCF things were different, a lot had to do with the job done by the then Lakers big Dwight Howard who was able to stop Jokic and the team benefited from that and got the win to play the NBA Finals in the bubble and ultimately becoming champions.

Howard has opened up about how he believes to be the best player out of the two, as he stopped Jokic in 2020 but wasn't in his prime anymore. Still, Nikola has two MVP awards while Dwight has none.

“I’m happy for Nikola Jokic. But in 2020, I was stopping this man, and I wasn’t even in my prime. Imagine me in my prime. There would be no question.” Said Dwight Howard.

The Lakers have signed a new "Dwight Howard" for the next season

GM Rob Pelinka recently stated that with Anthony Davis' approval, the team signed the young center Jaxson Hayes to have him repeat the role Dwight Howard played in the 2020 championship title. The team is going all-in for the next season to win it all.
