Is not a surprise that current NBA players and stars grew up loving the Los Angeles Lakers, but not everyone can land in Los Angeles, now, the Boston Celtics have two stars who grew up being fans of their biggest rival, the Lakers.
After the Milwaukee Bucks traded Jrue Holiday and other assets to get Damian Lillard, the biggest question was, what was going to happen with the guard, was the star going to stay in Portland or play in another team.
Holiday had different options and even revealed to wanted to play in LA for the purple and gold, now that he has been presented as a new Celtic, the Lakers' historic rival, Jrue has said he grew up being a Purple and gold fan alongside his family.
"Growing up in LA as a Laker fan, I know a lot of my family's probably hurt," said Jrue Holiday. The Celtics also have Jayson Tatum, their biggest star, a Lakers and Kobe fanatic.
Kobe once said that the purple and gold jersey isn't for every player, as the team is one of the most winners in NBA history. Also, the Lakers are known to have some of the greatest players in basketball of all time.
