There is a former Lakers player that won a championship with the franchise that is playing far from the NBA and wants to come back

In 2020, the LA Lakers won the championship title in the bubble after defeating the Denver Nuggets in the WCF of that year, thanks in considerable measure to the performance by Dwight Howard to stop Nikola Jokic.

Howard, however, couldn't find an NBA team to play for in the current 2022-23 season and had to fly to Taiwan to find a team and play there.

Still, Dwight dreams of returning to the NBA and playing for teams like the Lakers, as he didn't want to leave LA or even help, the Kings contend for a championship title.

"I'm not retired from the NBA just yet," Howard told The OBSERVER. “I would love to help the Sacramento Kings contend for a title. Even though I believe their team is pretty much set.”

The Lakers would like to re-sign Dennis Schroder this summer

While Howard had one of the biggest comeback stories when he returned to the Lakers, Dennis Schroder had one of his own this past season, making things right after a disappointing first run and helping the team make the Western Conference Finals. Now a free agent, the Lakers want to bring him back.
