The Los Angeles Lakers governor and owner Jeanie Buss recently gave an interview where she spoke about different things about the franchise, one of them was about how excited she is about this upcoming season, especially after the offseason signings despite the PG Dennis Schröder leaving LA.

Buss is hyped with what GM Rob Pelinka was able to pull off, just like the Lakers fans, as the team is bringing back the core of last season's team plus some upgrades.

“Our whole plan this off-season was to keep the continuity - to build on the momentum that had been created. Yeah, we lost Dennis Schroder who Darvin Ham was really instrumental in coming back to the Lakers because he’s already been a Laker.

Darvin really believed in him. Picking up someone like Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince — it’s exciting. Even Max Christie who shined at summer league really blossomed. And of course, Austin Reaves has been a great success story. There’s a lot of good things to look forward to this season.”

Jeanie Buss also spoke on why the Lakers decided to sign Davis an extension

Anthony Davis is set to be the face of the team in the post-LeBron era, and Buss revealed why the front office signed him, as they believe he is the best player in the league when healthy. “There’s an argument to be made that he [Anthony Davis] was the best player in the NBA when he was playing.”
