A former Laker that was part of last season's roster, has shown why LA should've never got rid of him

The last campaign beginning was forgettable for the Lakers as they had one of their historic worst records to start a season with 2-10, but the second victory was only possible with the help of sharpshooter Matt Ryan.

The wing scored a buzz-beater 3-pointer to send the game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans into overtime and for the purple and gold to win the game in that instance.

It didn't take much time for coach Ham to let the wing go, and funnily enough, it seems the Pelicans haven't forgotten about that shot as they signed him for the season, and in his latest game he just proved he is worth a shot.

Ryan was a starter for the Pelicans game vs. the Detroit Pistons and played 35 minutes to score 20 points, had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and +16 in the plus/minus. Matt scored 6 out of 8 3-pointers, his shooting is something the Lakers could get good use of.

The Lakers have now Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince

What Ryan doesn't have that new Lakers wings Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince do have is a defensive game, and that's why LA did what they did with the sharpshooter, still, the Lakers fans remember Matt kindly after that famous 3-pointer against the Pelicans
