The Lakers could've wasted an opportunity to keep one of their key players from the last season

The Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has been praised for his work in this free agency market, as it only took him 24 hours to make most of the movements the team wanted to make, but there's one player the team should've re-signed, and now he is gone.

Coach Darvin Ham did an excellent job in his first year as an NBA head coach taking the purple and gold to the Western Conference Finals, but one of his biggest mistakes was on the team rotations and not using players that were balling for the team.

Ham's biggest mistake was to make the SG Lonnie Walker a bench warmer; Walker proved himself when Darvin allowed him in Game 4 of the Semifinals series vs. the Golden State Warriors, where the SG scored 15 points in the last quarter to help LA to defeat the team and then took them to the WCF.

Walker wanted more playing time with the team. Still, Ham wasn't going to give it to him, now Lonnie has signed with the Brooklyn Nets, and the team has lost one of the most valuable players from the last playoffs, while Pelinka just re-signed D'Angelo Russell, who disappeared most of the postseason.

The Lakers are still looking to sign a size center to complete their roster for next season

The Lakers are looking to add another experience-size center to their roster as a second unit when Anthony Davis is not in court in case he gets injured.
