The Lakers were leading by 16 points, and a disastrous final quarter almost made them lose, but an unexpected hero saved them in the last second

The Los Angeles Lakers are celebrating their second back-to-back win. Still, there should be nothing to celebrate, as they were leading the game by sixteen points, and some controversial decisions by coach Darvin Ham made the team almost jeopardize the result.

When everything seemed lost, with a 108-111 score led by New Orleans and 1.5 seconds left on the clock, Austin Reaves gave Matt Ryan a pass, who didn't hesitate and scored from the corner a 3-pointer to beat the buzzer and took the game to the overtime.

Moments later, Los Angeles won and now are 2-5 on the season. But who is Matt Ryan? He is an unexpected hero that shares the name of the NFL Colts QB, but did you know that before playing for the Lakers, Ryan was a Cemetery gardener?

To devote himself to basketball, Ryan jumped into flexible jobs in New York. Including working as a gardener in a Yonkers Cemetery. Between tombstones and flower crowns, he started the day at seven in the morning, sometimes with temperatures below zero, with tights and pajamas under his pants.

Matt Ryan will earn 1.63M with the Lakers this year

The 25 years old Lakers player is playing with the Lakers this season and is set to reach 1,637,966 Million this year. But if he continues to perform better, he will surely increase his value. Ryan's last team was the Boston Celtics, who waived him, and now Coach Darvin Ham is giving him a chance to prove he is a good NBA player.
