The 2021-22 season for the Lakers was a complete mess that ended with the team humiliated without playoffs; all of this was followed by great expectations set on the team after the big announcement of the creation of a Big 3 with the signing of PG Russell Westbrook.

After the disastrous outcome, Frank Vogel took most of the blame because of his team rotations and not knowing how to make Westbrook work with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Vogel was fired, and now that the Phoenix Suns have signed the former head coach, they have already stolen one coaching staff member from the Ham's Lakers.

But now, with information via ESPN's Dave McMenamin, he has stolen a second coaching staff member "Dru Anthrop is joining Frank Vogel's staff in Phoenix after four seasons with the Lakers as head video coordinator and player development coach, the Suns announced."

Phil Handy will stay with the Lakers for at least two more years

Right after Frank Vogel signed with the Suns, the fear for most fans was that the former head coach tried to get the assistant coach Phil Handy, but Handy has just stated he is happy in LA and has two more years in his contract and isn't going anywhere else for the moment.
