One rookie element from the Lakers was seen as the solution for the outside shooting problem but failed to live up to the hype.

Los Angeles Lakers had a 3-point shooter problem, as they didn't have a player with that specialty, and one of their bets was the rookie Cole Swider, but his time could have ended as there is a new specialist in town.

Swider had a good training camp with the team but, in the preseason, has failed to live up to the expectations set on his 3-point shooting; on Sunday night, he was capable of scoring just one out of six attempts.

More Lakers news:

As opposed to Matt Ryan, who entered the second half of the game against the Golden State Warriors and, came off the bench and scored six 3-pointers out of nine attempts. So Swider's place in the team could be at risk.

The Lakers coach Darvin Ham has even stated following Ryans' performance: "He may have gotten himself a job today." As Matt Ryan showcased his most excellent skill and led the team to win in the second half.

Matt Ryan was even better than the 3-point shooter specialist

Ryan even had better scoring than rival Stephen Curry, the greatest 3-point shooter in the NBA. It is still early and only one preseason game, but Ryan could pass Swider and become the solution for the Laker's problem of finding an outside shooter.
