He was the villain for the Lakers in the playoffs, somehow Lebron got him an 80M contract

The Los Angeles Lakers had one ferocious series in the first round of the playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies but were able to end in 6 games, but one rival was the standout for the fans, but not in a good way.

Dillon Brooks earned the animosity of the Lakers fans after showing disrespect to LeBron James, and while at first looked like backfired on the star, it helped the former Grizzlies to sign a lucrative deal, at least that's what Tracy McGrady thinks.

"Some of the 'antics' I could do without, but I'm talking about from a competitive standpoint. If he doesn't do some of the things that he did last year going at LeBron [James] who was the best player, we're not talking about Dillon Brooks bro... He's made a name for himself... He got an $80 million deal out of the sh*t he did last season."

While the Grizzlies parted ways with Brooks because of his antics, the player wouldn't be in the mind of the fans and NBA teams if it wasn't for the disrespect shown to LeBron.

Before Brooks signed with the Houston Rockets for 80 million, the star had a meeting with the Lakers, but the purple and gold never had true intentions of signing their playoff rival.
