The Los Angeles Lakers have two superstars on their roster, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Both were able to win a championship title for the Purple and Gold franchise on their first tournament together, but their era could be nearing its end due to LeBron's potential retirement.

It is unknown for how long James will stay playing in the NBA and if he wants to continue with the purple and gold for more years, The front office isn't speculating and GM Rob Pelinka is already planning ahead of LeBron as he recently signed Anthony Davis an extension through 2028.

But another superstar could land in Los Angeles after the recent statement by the Milwaukee Bucks center Giannis Antetokounmpo who wants to win another championship title and could not sign an extension. Giannis' championship title was won with Darvin Ham as one of the assistant coaches, so they know each other, giving an advantage to LA for signing him. The Lakers and the Knicks are the reported possible landing spots for the big man.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported: “The Lakers and the Knicks are already being mentioned as franchises presumed to interest Antetokounmpo down the road if he does decide to move on from Milwaukee, which just made a slew of moves (re-signing Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez and replacing Mike Budenholzer as coach with Adrian Griffin) to try to appease its face of the franchise."

Giannis won't wait for much more for the Bucks to deliver

“You can be certain if nothing else, that The Giannis Watch is back on and, like it or not, will thrust his future back to the forefront of the NBA discourse after just three seasons of relative quiet that must have elapsed awfully quickly for Bucks fans.” Wrote Stein.
