The future looks bright for the Lakers as they have some talented young players, one of whom is NBA-ready

The Los Angeles Lakers are going all in this next season to achieve the ultimate goal, win the NBA championship title, and have built a team for that, but GM Rob Pelinka is also thinking about the future of the franchise.

The scouting department has been one of the standouts of the purple and gold franchise in the last few years, and this offseason they have signed some interesting prospects that could benefit the team going forward.

The 2023 NBA Draft No. 17 pick Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis, Colin Castleton, D'Moi Hodge, and Alex Fudge are the new rookies of the team, but the young player that is NBA ready and fans are most excited about is the sophomore, Max Christie.

According to reports by NBA insider Jovan Buha, Christie will be having an important role in coach Ham's rotation as the substitute for LeBron James over new signing Cam Reddish.

The advantage that Max Christie has is his age

The most interesting asset is that Christie is younger than your average pick. Max is younger than 5 players in the 2023 NBA Lottery (Brandon Miller, The Thompsons, Howard, Hawkins.) The sophomore is younger than 12 players in the whole 1st round. With Christie, the Lakers have an extra pseudo-round Draft Pick, but he already has one year of experience in the league and at the Summer League showed he is NBA-ready.
