Austin Reaves has a coming-off-the-bench role, still, he has been looking like the third Lakers star, and tonight's win over the Phoenix Suns proves it. The Lakers guard scored 20 points, behind only the 31 from LeBron and the 27 from Anthony Davis.
Reaves was so impressive that he scored 14 points in the third quarter, he almost single-handedly kept Los Angeles Lakers offense afloat. At the end of the fourth quarter, Reaves scored a clutch 3-pointer and was there to close the game.
Austin's teammate Jarred Vanderbilt, also had a huge night deffensively speaking on his second game after missing most of the first 20 games of the campaign.
“He’s not scared of the moment to take or make those big shots… he’s a hell of a player, he’s just a dog.” Jarred Vanderbilt on Austin Reaves’ clutch three and the confidence the team has in him.
Anthony Davis on Austin Reaves big 3-pointer: "It's Austin. He's done it. Made countless big shots for us, big plays for us. We trust the ball in his hands."
