When LeBron James was young was nicknamed the chosen one, and now that he has been around for twenty years in the league, his legacy is becoming big business.

According to Adam Wells of Bleacher Report, a pair of Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James's game-worn Nikes from his first-year high school championship game are being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions. The site expects his Jumpman Swift 6 sneakers to sell for more than $200,000, which Heritage lists as the shoes' "Guide Value or Estimate" price.

The size-14 shoes are being sold by Eddie Jackson, a longtime James mentor, on The Chosen's behalf. Wells notes that James's high school teams won three state titles across his four high school seasons. He graduated in 2003 and was promptly selected as the first pick in that summer's NBA draft.

LeBron shoes are expected to make more than the record-breaking sold worn once by Messi, who donated his Adidas shoes to the National Catalunyan Museum of Arts (Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña). The boots were sold in an online auction for 172,000 dollars; this became a record that LeBron's shoes would easily break.

What made Messi's shoes so especial

The world cup champion had signed the shoes and had an inscription with the names of his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, and his sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro, with their Birthday dates.
