The Los Angeles Lakers have officially ended their participation in this season's championship, sadly without achieving the ultimate goal, winning the NBA championship as they were swept in the West Conference Finals vs. the Nuggets.
Los Angeles front office is now focused on building the team for the next season, and one of the top priorities for the team is Austin Reaves, who had a breakout campaign in his year two in the NBA after being undrafted.
Reaves is set to hit free agency this offseason, and the Lakers have been reported to offer him around 50 million for four years deal, but the player could get more if he hears another offer.
Still, Reaves has stated he wants to stay in LA, as he said yesterday in the Exit interview, "I want to be here. This feels like home to me in a sense." Making it clear the sophomore wants to sign this off-season. Now it's up to GM Rob Pelinka to make it happen, there's no excuses.
"We gave everything we have. I gave everything I had… I think it was a great season." Dennis Schröder reflects on the year from start to finish.
