The Lakers wasted another opportunity to keep climbing on the Western Conference spots and gave in on all the trolling towards the Los Angeles franchise from Patrick Beverley and the Bulls.
But now that the Bulls won, Patrick Beverley talked about the Charmin trolling, and the "too small" gesture toward LeBron James after Chicago dominated the game.
Regarding the now infamous Charmin roll trolling, Pat Bev said it wasn't like that in reality, "I got paid a ton of money to post something," Beverley said. "And I was late posting it, like, a week ago, so I didn't want the window to close. Good timing? Bad timing? Whatever the f—, I don't know. I'm not out here trying to troll anybody. I'm out here to be a basketball player. I'll let you guys do all that."
Beverley couldn't resist a little ribbing following a basket in the closing minute. Beverley drove the lane directly at Lakers star LeBron James. He pivoted once he reached the paint and tossed up a baby hook just before James. When it dropped through the net with 1 minute, and 12 seconds remaining, Beverley squatted and pressed his right hand toward the court with an open palm. It's become the fashionable signal for a defender being "too small" to be effective.
"I do it to everybody," Beverley said. "I was just having fun, getting lost in the game. We're not construction workers. We're not guys who have to get up at 4 a.m. We're professional basketball players. It's all about having fun. That's what I tried to do." With Beverley on their side, the Bulls are having the most fun they've had all season. Because, finally, they're winning.
