It will be vital that he recovers his level

The season in which the Lakers won their last championship was marked by the excellent participation of the Chicago-born; Anthony Davis. In that season, the big man averaged 26.1 points per game, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.2 rebounds. A very good season considering that he was not the axis of the offense. In addition to Davis' numbers, LeBron averaged over 25 points, 7.8 rebounds, and over 10 assists per game. This was enough for the Lakers to become champions that season.

But the reality of Anthony Davis in the last two seasons has been extremely different. Starting with the fact that in the 19-20 campaign he played 62 games while in the 20-21 he played only 36 and in the 21-22, he only played 40. In both of that two seasons, his points per game statistics did not even reach the average of 24.

What a great lack of respect for Lakers fans.

If LeBron wants to win more NBA championships with the Lakers, here's what he needs to do.

A few days ago Darvin Ham, coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, and LeBron James held a meeting in which they discussed the upcoming season. Both agreed that if they want the Lakers to return to the top, the offense must be run by Anthony Davis. The question here is whether Davis will be healthy enough to take on this responsibility.

Since Davis has been with the Lakers he has been injured several times. The quality of the Laker's power forward is not in question. What makes Lakers fans nervous is that once again he misses important games and is not here to help LeBron James. Davis has reportedly been training hard and has been losing weight, as well as strengthening his ankles, which have given him a lot of trouble over the past few years.

Healthy LeBron and Davis should be enough.

LeBron and Anthony Davis have shown us throughout their respective careers that if healthy, they are virtually unstoppable. Keeping Los Angeles' two superstars healthy could be enough to be title contenders once again. Still, the team could use another player who can contribute to the team's winning ways. With the very likely departure of Russell Westbrook, it looks like that player could be Kyrie Irving.
