The free agency market got more interesting, as the LA Lakers are interested in signing a recent NBA champ from the Denver Nuggets.

One player that has already been on the edge of leaving Los Angeles is Malik Beasley, but the most recent news involving SG/Forward Bruce Brown, who just won an NBA championship ring with Denver, could finish sending him away from the Lakers.

According to the Denver NBA insider Mike Singer, the Lakers have "significant interest" in Bruce Brown. Brown is a free agent; LA could offer him around 14 million annually.

Brown is a role player that would be an exciting fit for the team for the next season and could give the team the extra push to win the championship title the Lakers and LeBron have been pursuing since 2020.

Things to watch for the Lakers to sign Bruce Brown

The most important thing to watch is what LA does with Bamba and Beasley. The deadline to shed those salaries (Bamba non-guaranteed, Beasley team option) is tomorrow. If they are gone, it is much easier for LA to offer the full MLE.
