The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to get to another NBA Finals; the last time they did it was back in 2020, and, interestingly, it was also after playing the Nuggets in the West Conference Finals.

Now it seems that coach Darvin Ham is studying that series as he has come out and said that the Lakers have "a couple of guys" on their roster who can play a Dwight Howard type of role in the series and bring the physicality against Nikola Jokic that Howard brought in the 2020 playoffs. But, unfortunately, he didn't name who those guys were.

Fans are speculating Ham was referring to Tristan Thompson and the soon return of Mo Bamba. But it's interesting from this statement that Ham is showing that he is looking to be inspired by what Frank Vogel and that 2020 team did against Jokic.

LeBron James spoke on the difference between 2020 with 2023 Nuggets

"They're a better team," James said of the differences between the 2020 Nuggets and the team Los Angeles faces now. "They're more experienced. Every game, postseason, and matchup allows you to continue to grow as a franchise and team, and they've done that. So, we come in with the utmost respect for this team that we're challenged against and playing against, so look forward to the matchup."
