The LA Lakers are looking to upgrade their roster even when keeping the core intact, but this player will be leaving LA sooner than expected

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to build upon their current roster, as this team turned things around pretty quickly after the trade deadline and has had one of the best records in the NBA since then.

The purple and gold played in the Western Conference Finals, where they got swept; still, Pelinka and Ham believe in this group and want to continue developing chemistry and culture with them.

Still, some minor changes are expected to upgrade the team, and some players will be leaving; one of them is the SG Malik Beasley, who arrived in LA with the promise of helping solve the 3-point shooting problem the team had.

Beasley became almost immediately a starter in coach Ham's team but then passed to have a coming off-the-bench role to Austin Reaves, to be a bench warmer because Lonnie Walker was doing it better.

The Lakers are looking for another guard that can improve the team

With Beasley gone, the Lakers are looking to add another shooter that can help the team in ways Malik could have done better. Pelinka and Ham are looking to keep Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker
