The offseason was a rollercoaster of thrills for several NBA teams, one of them being the Milwaukee Bucks, as their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo sent a message on thinking of not signing an extension if they didn't deliver a contending team.

The Bucks didn't engage in the rumors and reports that had the NY Knicks and the LA Lakers as the two main possibilities for the Greek Freak to land in case they didn't deliver and the superstar would become a free agent.

But Milwaukee was fast and saw the opportunity to involve themselves in the drama between the Trail-Blazers, Damian Lillard, and Miami Heat, they made a trade with Portland and signed the point guard.

With Damian Lillard now being part of the Bucks, Giannis is excited and now has agreed to a three-year $186 million maximum contract extension according to information by The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The door has officially closed for Giannis to arrive in LA

With this move, Giannis is officially off the table for several years. The Lakers have been making moves to guarantee a strong future, so this move doesn't really affect the team's plan. LA signed Anthony Davis to a three-year extension for $186 million, locking the superstar all the way to 2028.
