The Los Angeles Lakers was the home for Kobe Bryant during his twenty-year outstanding career; the superstar won five championships for the franchise and became the most iconic figure for them over Magic Johnson and other greats.
Sadly, after his tragic passing over three years ago, Kobe Bryant still hasn't his statue outside the Crypto.com Arena. For fans, this is inexplicable, as he is, for many, the greatest Lakers player the franchise has ever had.
When asked about it, Jeanie Buss's reply was always on having it on the agenda, but three years since their passing, and more time since his retirement, nothing has been said and done about it, while fans keep asking for it.
It seems that Kobe's statue is finally coming soon, as hinted by his widow Vanessa Bryant who posted a picture of the Crypto.com Arena and a random statue in front of it. Lakers and Kobe fans are over the moon about it; it was overdue.
One of the current biggest stars of the team is Anthony Davis, who wants to become part of the elite exclusive club of Lakers legends, as he said to Pau Gasol. AD wants to have his jersey number retired one day, and his mind is on winning more championships with the purple and gold.
