Unlike most of his teammate's speeches blaming it on the team's injuries, Vanderbilt gets real about the group's struggles

The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling this season as the team has shown two different faces, especially when the In-Season Tournament was in development, after winning it, the purple and gold haven't been able to be the same energetic team.

While coach Darvin Ham and most of the Lakers players have emphasized the team's different injuries, the reality is that most of them have already been back, and only Gabe Vincent remains out, a players who today had his knee surgery and will continue to be out around 6 to 8 weeks.

When asked about what the Lakers need to regroup for the new year, Jarred Vanderbilt said: "Like today, starting with a good practice. I think due to the IST and our traveling, we haven't had a lot of time to practice."

The team has seen different changes and the latest had coach Darvin Ham with a new lineup, a starting five that the majority of players aren't happy with, but Vando has received the opportunity to return to it after ending last campaign as a starter.

Coach Darvi Ham has decided to make a gamble instead of going for continuity

Darvin Ham spoke on the new Lakers lineup: "I think the pros is the size, the athleticism, the ability to switch across the board. I think the cons are just different actions, not having a traditional point guard can be challenging at times.” Ham hasn't bet on continuity as he hasn't used the starting five he had at the end of the regular season and the playoffs.
