The LA Lakers have extended the wing Jarred Vanderbilt, the player now reveals who he modeled his game after and happens to be a former Purple and Gold star

The Los Angeles Lakers wing Jarred Vanderbilt continues to show that he was made to be part of the purple and gold franchise, his defensive skill, and his appreciation to the fanbase and now has said on which bhe modeled his game.

In a recent interview in the Run Your Race podcast, Jarred Vanderbilt spoke about different topics, but one of the most important is when he opened up about how he modeled his game after greats Penny Hardaway and the former Laker Lamar Odom.

Odom won a couple of NBA championship titles alongside Kobe Bryant and became a key factor in the 2009 and 2010 wins. This comparison is exciting for the Lakers fans.

Vanderbilt still has some areas to improve as he is a great defender but is lacking skills on the offensive end. This offseason the wing is putting up the work on his corner 3-pointers to improve his game.

Vanderbilt believes the Lakers fanbase is the best in the NBA

“Their fan base is like no other fan base. Everywhere you go, it’s just like a movie. Like it really is, there’s just no other way to put it. Obviously the lights are brighter and you’re on TV every game. Like in Utah, we maybe had only a couple TV games, and now you’re playing every night on the biggest stage. So I would say it was just night and day coming from Utah. And the approach was different too because now we were competing. We went from, like, we weren’t really trying to win at that point. Maybe a little bit, but we weren’t pushing winning. And now it was almost like championship or bust. The whole approach changed and we didn’t have any time to waste when we got traded because we were already in the hole. We got straight to it. But playing for the Lakers is definitely like no other fan base, for sure.” Said Vando.
