Jeanie buss explained Kobe Bryant's obsession with Michael Jordan

The late Kobe Bryant became famous as he separated from the rest of the  NBA players thanks to his unique mindset, which was named the "Mamba mentality."

Bryant was also known to be obsessed with Michael Jordan's game and tried to match his level of success in the NBA. So Kobe tried to model his game after MJ.

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss said that Jordan became a mentor to the purple and gold legend. "It wasn't until Kobe came along that they actually mentioned someone as being MJ's generational dad," she continued. "Kobe is the first person they've mentioned."

"You can see it more clearly now, especially when you consider how much Kobe tried to model Michael's play after his own. It was completely motivated. Hence, the desire to outperform Michael served as Kobe's primary motivation. As a direct consequence of this, there are times when no one is truly competing against anyone else on the court." Said Jeanie Buss.

Dominique Wilkins thinks only Kobe can compare to Michael Jordan

For Dominique Wilkins, the only player who should be compared to Michael Jordan in the GOAT debate is Kobe Bryant. “Kobe Bryant, people who played against Kobe, they know. They know. They know.” Said Wilkins.
