Joel Embiid tries to compare himself with LeBron James, backfires big time

The Los Angeles Lakers will face the WCF against the Denver Nuggets, while the ECF will be between the Celtics and the Heat in a repeat of the 2019-2020 bubble championship Conference Finals.

The last team to become a Conference finalist was the Boston Celtics as they beat this Sunday night the Philadelphia 76ers, which had the MVP Joel Embiid and James Harden.

Embiid created controversy after comparing himself with LeBron James and their teammates in the post-game presser. Embiid said, "Me and James, we can't win alone. That's why basketball is played 5-on-5. We need everybody to find ways to be better."

The Blazers star Damian Lillard reacted to it as he shared a video clip of the interview on his Twitter and wrote, "Huh?" And, of course, the latest MVP comments backfired on him, as the NBA fandom thinks that's just a weak excuse after a poor performance.

One of the main differences is that LeBron James continues at 38 years old to carry his team on his shoulders, even when now he has more help after having a more robust roster compared to the one he got at the start of the season.
