24 hours after expressing he wanted to stay in the Bucks for the rest of his career, Jrue Holiday was traded to the Portland Trail-Blazers for Damian Lillard to arrive in Milwaukee.

Holiday was a key part of the blockbuster trade, but according to reports, he isn't expected to stay in Portland, as teams like the LA Lakers and Miami Heat are among several organizations that interest him.

According to NBA insider Barry Jackson "Am told Heat, LA teams, Boston, Chi., Philly are teams of interest to Holiday. (Perhaps others, but those 6 in no order were mentioned to me). Beyond Portland's distaste for Heat assets, Miami must reconcile this: Acquiring&giving big new deal next summer makes them tax team for yrs."

Even when Jrue Holiday is open to play for the Lakers and the fans want him, a trade isn't possible at the moment for the purple and gold and face the same issue that with a possible pursuit of Buddy Hield, the team's players can't be traded yet besides Anthony Davis and LeBron James who are out of the table.

The only Lakers that could be traded are rookies

Salaries wouldn't match up, as the only players available for trade are the Lakers rookies like Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis. The purple and gold team is set for training camp and isn't looking for a move yet. In case Holiday stays with the Blazers, the purple and gold could pursue a trade after December 15.
