The Lakers won a truly special NBA championship title in the 2020 bubble after many circumstances

One of the former Los Angeles Lakers who was part of the team's roster that ultimately accomplished the goal of winning an NBA championship title, has spoken about how special is this NBA championship title.

Markieff Morris has spoken to the "All the Smoke," podcast being brutally honest on how the tragic passing of the Lakers legend Kobe Bryant "inspired" them to win the NBA championship and dedicated it to the black mamba.

"The sh*t that happened with Kobe [Bryant] was like we got to get it done for him... We (Lakers) were one of the teams that was pushing more for the bubble because we knew we had the best chance of winning."

The Los Angeles Lakers since then, almost completely changed their roster, only keeping LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Many have already retired, others are without a team, but the Lakers are close for the offseason.

Damian Lillard believes that the championship bubble does count

The Portland Blazers star Damian Lillard believes that what the Lakers did by winning the championship in the bubble was harder than regular championships, which has silenced the fans who wanted to diminish the trophy.
