The Los Angeles Lakers failed to close out 2023 with dignity as they closed out the year with a 2-game losing streak as they fell in the back-to-back against the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans.

Coach Darvin Ham has been blamed for not knowing how to manage correctly a good and deep squad despite the constant absences due to injuries. This Sunday night the Lakers didn't have Gabe Vincent, D'Angelo Russell, or Cam Reddish, and during the game, Rui Hachimura got hurt and missed the rest of the match.

Still, coach Darvin Ham wants to stick with a starting lineup that doesn't work, and leave Austin Reaves on the bench despite being his third-best player and truly the team's third star.

In the post-game presser coach Darvin Ham gave another of his famous optimistic speeches as the team returned to be .500: "No one wants to be 17-17... But you see who you really are when you face adversity... This is another challenge I'm looking forward to figuring out along with my staff and the organization."

The Lakers fans just want to see the team win without many struggles

Coach Darvin Ham's speech is incorrect, this speech should be when your team is down 1-3 in the NBA Finals, not when you're 17-17 after assembling a good roster and winning the first-ever In-Season Tournament.
