Los Angeles Lakers Icon Shaquille O'Neal has entered into a "feud" with the Brooklyn Nets Ben Simmons. Shaq is part of a tv show on TNT as an NBA analyst with fellow Charles Barkley.

In one of the shows, O'Neal was critical of Ben Simmons as he stayed off the court, mainly because Simmons refused to report to training camp last season. It is known that Ben has been dealing with some mental health battles.

More Lakers news:

Shaq just talked about Simmons, who shared O'Neal's alma matter as both attended Louisiana State University more than two decades apart, so Simmons sent DM's to Shaq. The Lakers legend exposed him as he talked about them.

It didn't sit well with Simmons. And now, in a recent interview opened up about it: "When I was dealing with everything going on, I actually messaged him (Shaq), and he put it out, and I was like, alright. IDM'd him. I was like, 'Why are you saying this if you don't even know the story?' 'Cause he always wants to say,' yo, we're LSU brothers. You're my brother.' All this, that, if you're my LSU brother, you would have reached out by now, and it's been months since I been dealing with this. You ain't reached out once and say, 'Hey, you okay? What's going on?'".

Not everybody can handle Shaquille O'Neal

Being an NBA analyst on TNT has given Shaquille O'Neal a forum in media to speak about different players and subjects. But unfortunately, his opinions often come in the form of blunt criticism, even when he is not trying to be personal, which can be difficult for some players to handle. On Ben Simmon's part, he needs to prove this season with the Nets, as he hasn't played any minutes with them, that he is valuable for the team.
