When is time to talk about the GOAT debate, the Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal has always been clear on picking historic players over modern stars, and on several occasions he stated that Michael Jordan was the GOAT with Kobe Bryant being the player the most similar to the Chicago Bulls legend.

But there was a time when Shaq changed his tune and picked the Lakers superstar LeBron James as the actual GOAT of the NBA. This was when LeBron was getting close to breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record.

Shaq said "'Cause now if you pass Kareem up, it ain't no talk about who the best player ever is. Think about that?" For O'Neal now there's no argument on who is the GOAT, as LeBron James is now the NBA's scoring leader of all time.

The main argument remains to be Michael Jordan having won six NBA titles while LeBron currently has won four, but other players won more than six titles and aren't considered the greatest of all time. With everything that James has accomplished seems only a matter of time before he becomes the undisputed GOAT.

LeBron James looks unstoppable in his year 21

Despite LeBron James being 38 years old, the Lakers star continues to be as dominant as ever and for his year 21 in the league looks unstoppable. Still, the Lakers are giving the reigns of the team to Anthony Davis as James is now having less playing time.
