LeBron James is a billionaire, still, he was still motivated by the 500K IST prize, but he wasn't thinking for himself, his real motivator revealed

Los Angeles Lakers dominated the new In-Season Tournament as they went undefeated during the 7 games of the competition, becoming the first-ever champions after beating the Indiana Pacers in the final game in Las Vegas.

LeBron James on different occasions spoke on how the 500K monetary prize was a big motivator, which had many NBA fans wondering why if he is a billionaire and doesn't care or need the money, but the Lakers superstar isn't selfish he wasn't thinking on himself.

While James won just a fraction of his nearly $50 million salary for beating the Indiana Pacers 123-109 in the championship on Saturday, the bonuses for winning offered a tremendous boost to several teammates who barely played or didn't play at all.

"I knew LeBron was going to do it. He told me before the game and said, 'This is for you (Alex) Fudge. This is for you for D'Moi (Hodge). This is for everybody," Fudge, one of the Two-way rookies spoke about it. "I trusted him and now we're here. Just knowing that he is thinking about us is a blessing. Not too many people are like that. That just says who LeBron is."

D'Moi Hodge also spoke about LeBron James doing it for the rookies

One of the other rookie guards, D'Moi Hodge, said: "He told the rookies, 'I got y'all. Don't even worry about it.'" This shows what kind of person LeBron James is and the mentality that separates him from the rest.
