According to an NBA analyst, LeBron James is damaging the Lakers almost as much as Russell Westbrook.

LeBron James is undoubtedly the best team on the Lakers roster. This is why the team decided to extend the future Hall of Famer for two more years. Last year he put up MVP numbers despite missing almost 30 games. However, according to NBA analyst Skip Bayless, LeBron James is damaging the Lakers.

LeBron James averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 56 games in 2021-22. This number helped him to be selected to play in his eighteenth All-Star game. However, his Free Throw percentage has been one of the worst in the league, which according to Undisputed host, Skip Bayless, is almost as bad as Russell Westbrook.

Lakers coach compares LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo

“I keep hearing LeBron is “in the lab.” He’d better be working on free-throw shooting. He took the 15th most in the NBA last season, ranked only 86th in FT %. Just killed the Lakers. Almost as damaging as Westbrick,” Bayless wrote via Twitter.

Of course, the Lakers are trying to trade Russell Westbrook, while LeBron James is the face of the franchise. LeBron James not only has to improve his FT percentage, but he also needs to improve his health as he cannot be allowed to miss more than 20 games.

The Lakers problems

Despite Skip Bayless believing that LeBron James' FT percentage is an issue for the Lakers, the truth is that the health of their players is what affects the Lakers. Anthony Davis and LeBron James can no longer stay healthy, despite being the ones who need to lead the team.
