LeBron James has been a role model as health is concerned, reportedly he spends over 1.5 million on taking care of his body.

LeBron is going into heading into his 20th NBA season at age 38. Even at this ‘old’ age he still put up MVP caliber number. Last season he ended the campaign averaging 30.3 points scored, 8.2 and 6.2 rebounds. He lead the Lakers in points and in minutes per game played. He also was top 3 in al the top categories. However for the first time in a long time it seems the injuries are catching up to him as he missed almost 30 games last season.

The King has proven time and time again that he has an amazing physique. During James' first years with the league in Cleveland he only missed 26 of a possible 574 games. However six of those games were only rest before more important games. His longest absence was during the 2007-08 season due to a sprained left index finger. Cleveland had a record 10-16 in the games James missed, but it didn't affect in the seasons result.

LeBron was an Iron-man during his first 15 seasons in the NBA (2003-2018). During that time he only missed a total of 71 games due to injury or simply to rest that's a total of 4.7 games missed per season. During that time he also won three of their four NBA titles. Now in the last four seasons he has already 71 games missed due to injury or rest, that catapulted to 17.7 games missed per season. He missed a record of 27 games in the 2020-21 season.

The Lakers have suffered James' recent vulnerability as the team has dropped to a 27-44 record without the future Hall of Famer. Last season was a clear example of this as the Purples and Gold missed the playoffs by finishing 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 33-49. This was only the forth time the 'King' missed the playoffs and the second since he joined the Los Angeles Lakers. Now reportedly LeBron is spending 1.5 million on his body to extend their career.

How longer will LeBron James play in the NBA?

LeBron James just signed a two years extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. This will make him play until the 2025 season when he will be 41 years old. However it seems that won't be his last season as it possible that his son Bronny enters the NBA that same season, and according to LeBron he wants to play with his son before retiring.
